Call to Order and Opening Remarks – Vice-President Ken Horne
Ken extended thanks to the Comers and Strobels for hosting this rally and for the excellent meals they provided. The group also wished happy anniversary to the Links as they rejoin the chapter.
Treasurer’s report by Doug Watson in absence of Richard Hobbs. Annual dues are now $50 and are in the process of being collected. All coaches in attendance are paid up. A motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was extended by Darlene Watson and seconded by Ed Strobel. The report was approved and entered into the record.
Secretary Susan Howe referenced the September meeting minutes posted to our Facebook Group and website and asked for a motion to approve. Motion extended by Doug Watson and seconded by Ken Horne. Minutes approved.
Dennis Daudelin gave a Webmaster update reminding members of the resources we have in our chapter website (www.justgoallegros.com) and our Facebook group page.
Wagonmaster’s report referenced our list of 2026 rally locations coming up and reminded members that John Moors is happy to entertain new locations for our rallies. We do have a distance parameter set by
Tiffin bylaws, but ad hoc trips farther away can be arranged for anyone interested. There are tentative plans for a group to convene in Red Bay around service appointments next summer.
Darlene Watson gave an update on our planned Christmas party at the Watson home in Starke which will take place on Saturday, December 13 and members were reminded of park options if they will be staying overnight. Guests are requested to bring appetizers and/or dessert and two white elephant gifts per coach – one for a woman and one for a man, not to exceed $20 each.
Other business – Doug Watson led a discussion of vendors for RV services he has used and the options for vendors in Red Bay and at Tiffin rallies.
The meeting closed with a brief discussion by Douglass Dillard, Real Estate Broker about RV lots in a park she represents.
Our next rally is at Peace River Oaks in Bowling Green, FL in January, hosted by the Moors.

President Tom Keith called the meeting to order by thanking the Howes and Hornes for their hosting duties and the Nortons for organizing social activities
Secretary Howe asked for approval of the prior meeting minutes which was motioned by Ken Horne and seconded by Lorraine Keith. Approved unanimously. Thank you to Darlene Watson for standing in as secretary for the prior meeting.
Treasurer Hobbs gave the financial report, mentioning our donation to flood relief after the floods in Texas and giving the status of annual dues collection. A few members will receive a reminder to pay dues. We have had two resignations from the chapter (Miltons and McMillans), and two new members (Nortons and Nicholsons). Our current membership is 22 coaches. The Treasurer’s report was approved after a motion from Barbara Kirker and a second from Lorraine Keith.
In Dennis Daudelin’s absence, Tom Keith reiterated our communication protocols via our website and FB page, and we invited the Norton to join the FB group.
In John Moors’ absence, Tom Keith gave the Wagonmaster’s report and passed out the schedule of resorts for next year. We need hosts for all the rallies except the January one, which will be hosted by the Moors. The finances of hosting were reiterated – $25 per coach is provided to the host(s) for use at their discretion, and the club will provide an additional amount up to $200 if desired for food, activities, supplies, etc. A round of thanks for noted for John Moors’ excellent work as our Wagonmaster.
The final item of business was members sharing “tales from the trail” of trips, tips and tricks for RV projects, and other helpful information and advice.
Doug and Darlene Watson have offered to host a Christmas party at their home in Starke, which will take place on December 13. More information on that will be forthcoming via email.
President Tom Keith closed the meeting by wishing everyone safe travels.

Tom extended thanks to the Morgans and Mays for hosting this rally. They did an outstanding job.
A thank you to Ken Horne for booking the CLM water filter representative (Nathan) to speak at our meeting. Nathan did an excellent job. Some of the members bought his filters, and he was kind enough to hook them up. We (the Watsons) bought the filter and are very pleased with the results. We had a sulfur smell in our back bathroom faucet, that is now gone because of the filter.
Tom also reiterated the rules about the monies ($25) for attending both nights meals (per coach), as well as the other $200 available if more money is needed to cover the remainder of the food costs. If so, send receipts to Richard Hobbs for reimbursement. If the $25 for each coach is not needed, leftovers will go to the club.
Tom accepted previous minutes, as posted, Darlene Watson agreed, motion carried.

Wagonmaster Report – 2025 Campout Updates
Sunkissed Village – Summerfield, FL: September 18-21,2025 – Cost is $50 per night for back-in, $55 per night for pull thru. Prent and Susan Howe are hosting. Of note: Resort is on right hand side of road right under the Camping World large flag. Cancellation fee is $25.
Grand Oaks, October 16-19, 2025:. Weirsdale, FL – $67 per nite, Oct 1 deadline for making reservations. The Strobels and Comers will be cohosting. There are lots of restaurants in the area.

Lorraine Keith : Due to medical problems, Tom is not allowed to drive temporarily. They love their coach and were devastated they may have to sell it. So…Lorraine went to a 2 day driving school in St. Augustine 2 days before she drove the coach to this rally. CONGRATULATIONS LORRAINE!!!! I think, because of you, there will be more women making the move. Lorraine used the RV Driving School. She went 2 days, 4 hours a day. RVSchool.com is the company she used. RVDriving Lessons – Tom Peckenham was her instructor.
Ken Horne – passed out some information on CLM Products CLM2 and CLM3 water filtration systems. He mentioned having guest speakers at our rallies. He will gladly step up, vet the people and set up inviting them to our meetings, if you give him the guest’s information.

Wagonmaster’s report by John Moors. Currently no plans for the 2026 rallies. A vote was taken to return to Sweet Citrus Acres in May 2026. Unanimous vote.

Marianna Caverns May 15-18, 2025 – April 24th is the deadline for making your reservations. The cost is $62 per night. Hosts: Dan and Theresa Morgan/Rick and Debra Mays

Treasurer’s report by Richard Hobbs. The Scotts have not renewed their membership, but all other members have renewed. Dues can be paid by check, cash or personal Venmo and should be made out to Richard Hobbs as the chapter does not have a bank account. The new membership form was distributed and a bifurcated dues schedule discussed. Members joining mid-year will pay half the annual dues if they join after January 1 of any given year. A motion to approve the Treasurer’s report and bifurcated dues was extended by Lamar Campbell and seconded by Susan Howe. The report was approved and entered into the record.

2026 planning is just starting and John Moors asked for any recommendations to be forwarded to him.
Other business – a discussion followed about a potential road trip for multi-day camping. Some locations were discussed and members were encouraged to present options for locations, possibly in northern Georgia, the Florida panhandle or the Carolinas. This would be outside the protocols for our usual rallies for anyone who wishes to join.

A suggestion was made by Ken Horne that we consider a holiday donation to a charitable organization at the holidays. We will discuss further at the next meeting.

Dennis Daudelin presented notes on his and Lyn’s trip to the Ozarks this summer, including noteworthy landmarks, RV parks and activities.

Meeting called to order by President Tom Keith with a welcome to our new member attendees: the Mayses, Mc Graths and Morgans. The club also thanks our hosts (the Keiths and Hobbses), our decorator (Sam Moors) and our chefs (Richard Hobbs, Ron Padgett and John Moors).
The minutes of the prior meeting approved via a motion from Dennis Daudelin and seconded by Randy McMillan.
A report by our Wagonmaster, John Moors, focused on potential locations for 2025 and review of our remaining planned 2024 rallies in May, September and October. Anyone attending the May rally at Santa Fe Palms must make reservations by April 1. Our hosts will be the Smedleys and Padgetts.
As a reminder, hosts for the Ocala North rally in September are the Campbells, and the October rally at Oak Alley will be hosted by the Watsons and Edgelys.
During a discussion of our rally protocols, a motion was made by Dennis Daudelin and seconded by Dennis Gauthier that we change our location radius as follows. We will increase the radius to 200 miles from current 150 and our new geographic center will be the center point of all member addresses plotted by John Moors. The new geographic center is Lawtey, changed from the St. Augustine location used to this point. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
Next on the agenda was a webmasters report by Dennis Daudelin reviewing our member website (used mainly for marketing) and our Facebook Group Page (Just Go Allegros) which is where we store our member list and communicate dynamically with each other outside of email,
The Treasurer’s report by Richard Hobbs was accepted via a motion by Bonnie Hobbs, seconded by William Howe and approved via unanimous vote.
A discussion of rally finances followed, resulting in a motion by Lorraine Keith and seconded by Jim McGrath that we increase our host allowance to $200 (paid from our dues) from the current $125, and that we will institute a per rally fee of $25 per coach to cover expenses of food and supplies. The funds will be spent by the hosts at their discretion in planning each rally, and any unused funds will be returned to the Treasurer. The motion was passed by a vote.
A final motion was made to increase annual dues to $50 per coach from the current $25, as our dues have not changed since inception of the chapter. The motion was made by Debra Mays, seconded by Rick Mays and passed by unanimous vote.
A final suggestion was made by Lorraine Keith to revisit the location of our annual August dinner meeting once our new geographic center is plotted.
We concluded with some member anecdotes on recent travels and the meeting was adjourned at about 8 p.m. by President Tom Keith.

Discussion regarding limit of allowance provided to rally host for expenses related to meals or activities resulting in a decision to allot up to $125 per rally. The suggestion was approved by members present.
Richard reported on members with dues in arrears and it was decided that the Councills (sold their RV), Freemans, Merrells, Deutsches and Kneseks are dropped from the membership rolls.
New members this year (besides the Edgelys) are Rick and Debra Mays, and Dan and Teresa Morgan.
It was decided for the future that a reminder will be sent to members of record to pay annual dues (due in August) and if no response, the member(s) will be dropped as of the annual January meeting. Approved by members present.

OPENING REMARKS:
Darlene Watson opened the meeting. Welcomed the Edgely’ s ( Doug & Kimmy new couple coming in) their email is Kimmyelindstream.net. Darlene read notes from The Moors (Sam current President of our club and John current Secretary and Wagonmaster of our club -See current rally schedule) who were unable to attend.
TREASURER REPORT: Richard Hobbs read treasury report. Ken Horne made motion to accept, Bruce Duval seconded, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS: Old business regarding Rally schedule, election of officers was provided in the notes provided by John & Sam Moors
NEW BUSINESS: Election of Officers: Ken Horne stood up and said he would be a Vice President if someone would be President. “Do we have a president ?” Tom Keith volunteered for president Vote Was taken unanimous! Ken Horne voted in for Vice President Sam Moors voted in for Vice President Susan Howe Volunteered and was voted in for Secretary. Darlene Watson will be back up for her.
Miscellaneous Items: Dennis Daudelin volunteered to be webmaster. Will get with John Moors.
Also mentioned it would be nice to have an activity director and seemed to be a lot of interest. Doug Watson mentioned he would organize round table technical discussions, All agreed that would be beneficial. Harvey Reid has a friend he met at Red Bay who knows more about coaches than anyone he has met.
